TULIP MASTERY WITH POLLY NICHOLSON OF BAYNTUN FLOWERS

Join England’s foremost tulip expert, Polly Nicholson, for an immersive day in the wonderful world of tulips. Perfectly timed just before the start of the tulip planting season, Polly will guide you through every stage from bulb to bloom, to ensure a stunning display next spring and beyond. There will be a particular focus on species tulips in this masterclass.

Species tulips offer a more sustainable and rewarding way to grow tulips, returning reliably year after year and reducing the need for costly annual replanting. Once you have found the varieties you love and identified the spots where they will thrive, you can enjoy watching natural colonies establish and expand over time. Discover the origins of species tulips and learn how to ‘wild’ them into your garden for a more natural, long-lasting display.

You will have a planted terracotta pot and a signed copy of Polly’s book ‘The Tulip Garden’ to take home. Polly will have a range of her favourite specially selected species tulip bulbs available to purchase.

The day runs from 10am to approximately 3pm. It includes tea and coffee on arrival and a delicious two course garden-inspired lunch (with wine).
