Down Burrow Lane: Life and Love on the Farm

To commemorate fifty years since the founding of Michael and Clare Morpurgo’s ground-breaking rural charity, Farms for City Children, Michael has written a memoir, Down Burrow Lane: Life and Love on the Farm.

A limited First Edition of 550 numbered copies will be published on 11th June 2026.

All author royalties will support the charity.

We will be hosting a special author event and champagne reception with Michael and Clare Morpurgo at Netherwood on Friday, 24th July from 4-6pm. To register your interest in the book and to be the first to know when tickets are released, complete the form below.

Netherwood Manor Garden Open For Charity

13-14th June

We are opening our gardens again for National Gardens Scheme charities on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th June., from 10am=4pm.

Teas and cakes will be available, as well as a wide selection of home-grown plants. Dogs on leads are welcome.

Entry is £8, with under 12s free.

'The Countryside through Mid-Century Art'

British 1950s Art Exhibition - 5-14th June

This free exhibition will be offering a collection of original works by John Piper, Elisabeth Frink, Rowland Suddaby, Robert Tavener and their contemporaries, exploring how the British landscape was represented in mid-20th century art.

The exhibition will also host a special collection of fabrics designed by John Piper and a display of original mid-century ceramics from across Europe.

All exhibits are for sale.
